Gold Coast Airport holds a Plane Spotters Photography Competition annually, to recognise and celebrate the avid community of plane spotters across the Gold Coast and northern NSW region. 

Submissions for the2024 Plane Spotters Photography Competition have now closed and judging is underway. 

Photographers of the top 10 images will be invited airside to photograph planes going in and out of GCA on Friday 19 July 2024. 

The photographers who capture the best two images on the day will win tickets to the Pacific Airshow weekend and be granted airside access to photograph aircraft flying in and out of GCA on Friday 16 August (the first day of the Pacific Airshow).These winners will be announced on Friday 2 August 2024.
