Important note for passengers on international flights*:
You must clear Australia customs upon arrival into Gold Coast Airport. Non-Australian citizens require a visa to enter Australia, including Gold Coast Airport. Even if you are travelling onwards to New Zealand or other Australian on the same day. For more information on Australian visa requirements please see Australian Government's Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.
Many other countries also require a visa for entry, and may require proof of onward or return travel.
It is the passenger's responsibility at all times to have appropriate travel documentation and entry permits such as visas. For information contact the embassy of the country you are visiting.
Before you book your international flight and before you travel, check current travel advisories for any warnings that may relate to your destination.
Australian and New Zealand Government travel advisories are posted on:

*Exception for this applies to transiting passengers travelling on Jetstar and holding a ticket from Sydney or Melbourne to Japan (or Japan to Sydney or Melbourne). While you do not need to clear Australian customs at Gold Coast Airport you will be required to pass through security after arrival.
