Gold Coast Airport Master Plan Approved
Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd (GCAPL) has welcomed the Federal Government’s approval of its 2011 Airport Master Plan.
Since the approval of its last Master Plan in 2006, Gold Coast Airport has become Australia’s fastest growing airport. It is the fifth busiest international airport in Australia and the sixth busiest airport overall.

Locals set to benefit from AirAsia X fly thru service
Gold Coast Airport has this week welcomed news from airline partner AirAsia X that fly thru services available from the Gold Coast have increased.
In a move which will see increased international access for residents of the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers regions, AirAsia X have announced a range of new fly thru sectors available from the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Airport Hosts 1st Chinderah Scouts
Gold Coast Airport this week welcomed an onsite visit to the airport from a group of 1st Chinderah Scouts.
The group of fifteen Scouts and their leaders visited the airport with the purpose of fulfilling their citzenship badge. Of particular interest to the Scouts were the areas of border protection, counter terrorism, air traffic control, aviation rescue and fire fighting.

Gold Coast Airport Staff support Clean Up Australia Day
Gold Coast Airport staff will today put on their gardening clothes; complete with garbage bags in hand, ready to support Clean Up Australia Day.
Airport staff will join forces with seqwater and Violia Water staff from the neighbouring Gold Coast Desalination Plant, collecting rubbish from a number of sites both within the airport and in the broader community.
